F2F4 Infinity and beyond!

Friday September 27th 5.00-7.00pm; Saturday September 28th, 09.30-2.00pm

Welcome to our final meeting of the season!

Remember the Stephen Covey message from a year ago?

Start with the end in mind

Well we are nearly at the end – at least of this first cycle in your research journey.

Here’s a couple of thoughts from discussions this week:

Friday 5.00-6.00pm

An opportunity to share your story so far.

For the Thursday evening of the Research Conference the intention is that you present a summary of your research in just 5 minutes. This is a challenge, so the opening hour is a chance to rehearse. Our 1:1 meetings prior to Friday evening should have prepared you mentally if not practically!

Friday 6.00-7.00pm

A discussion about approaches to presenting your findings from the e-poster to PechaKucha

Hopefully Lisa Radden our IT Director will be in attendance to offer guidance and support.

As usual we invite researchers to dinner immediately after the session – aiming to get to a restaurant by 7.30pm or just after (Massimo  – if this is too early for you, you can delay ordering until 9.00pm maybe?!!) Please let Nicky know during the day on Friday or at the start of the session.

Saturday 09.30-2.00pm

Today is primarily time for you to work on your presentation.

By 2.00pm you should aim to complete an updated version of your ABSTRACT and email to Phil.

This will then form the basis of your 5 minute presentation at the Community Event on October 24th.

Here is a link to the Oak House School, Barcelona EN RESEARCH CONFERENCE 2019 in early September – see the Abstracts in this document as examples.

I have some examples of their presentations e.g. the Gender Equality Research Group stored all their work on the school google drive…

We will arrange rehearsal time on Monday – Wednesday during the Conference week.

I’ll identify with Tanya some suitable breakout rooms from the Aula Magna – please let both of us know if you have a preferred room in mind already.
